Frequently Asked Questions

Enclosed you will find a list of the most frequently asked questions that arise during the preparation of a performance. If you cannot find your question here, please feel free to contact me.

How does it work if I would like to book you?

Send me a message via the contact form with the desired date and the location where the film concert should take place. I will get in touch with you as soon as possible to discuss the details.

I don’t have a cinema. How do I get the film and what do I need?

The METROPOLIS LIVE film concert can of course also be performed outside a cinema. In the past, the film concert has taken place in many unusual locations, e.g. on former factory premises, in art galleries or open-air in large public squares.

Depending on the equipment, METROPOLIS can be shown on DVD, Blu-ray or digitally.

For the screening you will need a screen, a powerful projector and an amplification system, which can be smaller or larger depending on the size of the venue or hall.

A performance licence is required for the film Metropolis, which I will arrange for you with the Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau Foundation. The exact costs for this depend on the number of paying spectators.

For the performance, I require a solid, level surface at least 1.5 x 1.5 metres to the side of the audience. My agency is happy to support the organisers and local partners with professional marketing measures for public relations. Event management can also be taken over.

What advertising media are available?

Posters in DIN A1 and DIN A2 sizes are available for advertising your event. These can be found on the ‘Media’ page: Link XXXX.

Customised posters, flyers and brochures can also be produced.

‘ONLINE TRAILER’

As a supplement to METROPOLIS LIVE advertising, I can provide you with a free film trailer that you as the organiser can embed online. I will add the date and venue of your event at the end of the trailer after booking. You can find some trailers of past events on YouTube: LINK XXXX.

In which languages is the film subtitled?

The languages already available are English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Romanian. The subtitles can be adapted to other languages.

Can the film also be shown with a 35 mm print?

Of course, the film concert can be shown with a 35 mm celluloid copy using a classic film projector. Please note that the additional effort for such a performance is associated with additional costs – e.g. for the safe transport of the film cans.
